Private chauffeur, ride-hailing or taxi: what changes for you
All three carry you from one place to another, but the deal is not the same. The Paris taxi runs regulated airport flat fares: from Charles de Gaulle, €56 to the Right Bank and €65 to the Left Bank; from Orly, €36 to the Left Bank and €45 to the Right Bank. Those amounts are set by the tariff order of 24 December 2025, published in the Journal officiel on 31 December and in force since 1 February 2026 (Service-Public.fr). It is predictable, but you take the car at the head of the rank, with no greeting and no choice of vehicle.
One figure deserves attention if your day involves waiting: on the meter, waiting time and slow traffic are billed at up to €42.15 per hour, and no fare can fall below €8. A ride-hailing app is convenient and everywhere in the city, but its price moves with demand and no one tracks your flight.
