Disneyland Paris transfers with child seats: everything families need to know
Every PrivateDrive vehicle travelling to Disneyland Paris can be equipped with certified child seats at no extra cost. Infant carriers, convertible seats, and high-back boosters are available for children from birth up to 12 years old. Request your seats at booking, we bring them fitted and ready when your driver arrives.
Which child seats are available?
We carry seats across all four European ECE R44/R129 groups, so you never need to travel with your own:
Group 0 / 0+
Birth → 13 kg (approx. 12 to 15 months)
Rear-facing infant carrier
Always installed rear-facing in the back seat. If placed in the front, the passenger airbag must be deactivated, our drivers handle this automatically.
Group I
9 to 18 kg (approx. 9 months → 4 years)
Convertible seat, rear or forward-facing
Rear-facing is recommended as long as the child fits. Forward-facing once weight exceeds the rear limit for the specific seat.
Group II / III
15 to 36 kg (approx. 3 → 10 to 12 years)
High-back booster with harness or belt guide
High-back boosters provide side impact protection that backless cushions do not, we supply high-back models as standard.

French law on child restraints in private-hire vehicles
Under French road safety code (Code de la route, Article R412-1), any child under 10 years old or shorter than 135 cm must travel in an approved child restraint system, this applies equally to taxis, VTCs, and private-hire vehicles, with no exceptions.
Non-compliance carries a €135 fine and three licence penalty points for the driver. PrivateDrive takes this seriously: child seats are pre-installed before pickup, not improvised on arrival. If you’re travelling with a child in this age range and haven’t requested a seat, we’ll contact you before confirming the booking.
- Taxi exception does not apply here. The historic taxi exemption (allowing children over 3 without a seat in licensed taxis) was abolished. All private passenger vehicles, including VTCs, must provide restraints.
- Bringing your own seat? That’s fine. Tell us at booking and the driver will help you install it on arrival if needed. ISOFIX anchor points are present in all our vehicles.
- Multiple children? French law requires one approved seat per child. We never share or stack seats.

The right vehicle depends on how many children you have and how much luggage you’re travelling with — Disneyland Paris trips tend to involve both strollers and large cases.

Yes. We offer direct CDG to Disneyland transfers. Your chauffeur meets you at arrivals with a name sign and drives you straight to the park entrance in about 45 minutes.

For one-way transfers, your chauffeur drops you off with all your luggage at the park entrance. Disneyland Paris offers a paid luggage storage service near Guest Services. If you book a return transfer, your chauffeur stores your bags in the vehicle during your visit at no extra charge.
Gates open at 9:30 AM (Disneyland Park) and 9:00 AM for early entry with select hotels. We recommend arriving 20 minutes before opening. For a CDG pickup, factor in 45 minutes of driving plus 60 minutes for customs and luggage. A 7:00 AM landing gets you to the park by 9:15 AM comfortably.

Nothing. Child seats are included in the booking at no additional charge. The only cost difference is if you upgrade from an E-Class to a V-Class to accommodate more children or a stroller.
Until the child is 10 years old or reaches 135 cm in height, whichever comes later. A tall 9-year-old over 135 cm can use a standard seatbelt. A small 11-year-old under 135 cm still requires a booster. Both rules must be satisfied before the seat is no longer legally required.
Yes. If you prefer to travel with your own seat, note it in the booking comments. Your driver will assist with installation if needed. All PrivateDrive vehicles have ISOFIX anchor points on rear and middle-row seats.
The Mercedes V-Class is the right choice. It accommodates up to 4 child seats, 3 to 4 full-size suitcases, and 2 strollers simultaneously. The E-Class and S-Class can hold 2 child seats but have limited boot space once you add Disney-trip luggage.
Yes. We provide Group 0+ rear-facing infant carriers for children from birth to approximately 13 kg. Specify your infant’s age and weight at booking. If the seat is installed in the front passenger position, the airbag is deactivated by default, our drivers are trained on this procedure.
From Charles de Gaulle (CDG): approximately 40 to 55 minutes depending on traffic. From Orly: 45 to 65 minutes. Transfers from central Paris typically take 35 to 50 minutes. Unlike the RER A, a private transfer goes door-to-door with no seat changes, no luggage handling on platforms, and no child restraint concerns.
Yes. The Mercedes V-Class accommodates up to 7 passengers total. For groups larger than 7, contact us directly, we arrange multi-vehicle solutions with coordinated departure times.
Four options: the Magical Shuttle bus (€24 adult, 45 min, multiple hotel stops), the TGV train (10 min but limited schedule and requires terminal transfer), a taxi (€65 to 80 metered), or a private transfer with PrivateDrive (€129, 45 min direct, Mercedes, flight tracking included). For families with luggage, the private transfer is the most convenient, your chauffeur meets you at the terminal and drives you directly to your Disney hotel.
