Key takeaway
Paris Motor Show (Mondial de l’Auto), 13 to 18 October 2026 at Porte de Versailles: hours, tickets, metro 12, tram T3a, parking and the car drop-off point.
The Mondial de l’Auto, the Paris Motor Show, returns to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from 12 to 18 October 2026 for its 91st edition. Monday 12 is a press-only day: the public gets in from Tuesday 13 to Sunday 18. The 2024 show drew 508,007 visitors in six days, according to the organisers’ own wrap-up. So the question is not whether it will be busy, but which way to come in.

Online, a ticket costs €20 on weekdays, €22 at the weekend and €17 for the evening rate. It drops to €13 for ages 7 to 17, students and visitors with disabilities. At the venue, expect €22 on weekdays and evenings and €24 at the weekend, sold from a separate point by Hall 7. The show fills Halls 4, 5.1, 5.2/3, 6 and 7.1, and the main entrance is Gate A2.
From inside Paris, the metro wins
If you are setting off from central Paris without luggage, there is no contest. Metro line 12 stops at Porte de Versailles, and exit 1 leads to Pavilions 2 to 7. Trams T2 and T3a serve the Porte de Versailles, Parc des Expositions stop; bus 80 stops there too, and the 39 runs to Desnouettes. A single ticket is €2.55. No car, ours included, beats that on a Saturday afternoon.
If you drive yourself, two car parks serve the show. P6 is about ten minutes on foot from Gate A2. P7 opens straight onto Pavilion 7 and its test-drive areas. They hold 45 and 12 spaces reserved for visitors with reduced mobility. With half a million visitors in six days last time, it is not something to build your Saturday around.
Car drop-off is on avenue Ernest-Renan
The organisers have set aside a drop-off zone for taxis and chauffeur cars on avenue Ernest-Renan, by Gate A2. That is where your chauffeur leaves you, and where he or she collects you. One detail matters if you are coming straight from an airport: the cloakroom at the show is paid and only takes small bags. With suitcases, go to your hotel first.
Four cases where a chauffeur earns the fare
You are arriving from the airport
A transfer from Charles de Gaulle to Porte de Versailles costs €125 in an E-Class and €145 in a V-Class, fixed when you book, with flight tracking included. From Orly, it is €105 in an E-Class. If you are still weighing the train, a taxi and a car, the numbers are in our CDG to Paris price comparison and in our guide to routes from Orly to the Left Bank, where the 15th arrondissement sits.
Your day does not end at the show
Dealers, suppliers, buyers: when the day strings together the halls, a client lunch and a meeting elsewhere in Paris, hourly hire replaces three improvised rides. It is booked in blocks, three hours minimum, at €85 an hour in an E-Class, so €255 for three hours. Driving, stops and waiting all count inside the block. For teams running a stand, our guide to transport during Paris trade shows covers how to organise several days.
You are leaving a late opening
On Friday 16 and Saturday 17 the doors close at 10 pm for everyone at once. A pre-booked car waits on avenue Ernest-Renan at the agreed time. Worth knowing before you compare: a pickup between 9 pm and 6 am adds 10% to our fares.
You are coming as a group
A V-Class seats up to seven passengers, which settles a family or a small team in one vehicle. Ask for a child seat when you book; our article on transfers with children explains which one fits which age.
Three easy mistakes
- Booking for Monday 12. That day is press only.
- Buying your ticket at the door. It costs €2 more than online, €5 more for the evening rate.
- Turning up after last entry. It falls one hour before closing: 7 pm Tuesday to Thursday, 9 pm on late evenings, 5:30 pm on Sunday.
For a delegation or several days at the show, our event transport page sets out what we arrange, vehicle by vehicle.
