Private Driver Cost in Paris: 2026 Price Grid

By PrivateDrive

Key takeaway

Private driver prices in Paris for 2026: CDG €125, Orly €105, train stations €95, €85/h. S-Class, V-Class, surcharges, taxi fares.

A private driver in Paris costs €125 from Charles de Gaulle to central Paris in a Mercedes E-Class, €105 from Orly, €95 from a Paris train station, and €85 an hour when you keep the car and driver, with a 3-hour minimum. The S-Class and the V-Class cost more on the same route. The price is shown in the quote and locked when you book: traffic, a longer route or a late landing do not change it.

Base fares by vehicle class

ServiceE-ClassS-ClassV-Class
CDG to central Paris€125€195€145
Orly to central Paris€105€170€125
Le Bourget to central Paris€115€185€135
Paris train station to an address in Paris€95€150€125
Hourly hire, per hour (3-hour minimum)€85€120€100
Each hour started beyond the booked hours€105€140€120

The class is a question of seats and boot space before it is a question of comfort. The E-Class and the S-Class each take 3 passengers and 2 suitcases; the V-Class takes 7 passengers and 7 suitcases. A third suitcase therefore means a van, whatever the number of travellers. Our E-Class or V-Class comparison goes through the cases that sit on the line.

By the hour: what the 3-hour minimum buys

Hourly hire keeps the car and the driver for a block of time rather than a single route: meetings across the city, a shopping afternoon, a dinner with a ride back. Driving, stops and waiting all count inside the block. Three hours in an E-Class come to €255, five hours to €425, eight hours to €680. Past the booked time, a 15-minute tolerance applies, then each hour started is billed at the overtime rate in the table, which is higher than the rate booked in advance: book the hours you expect to use. Leaving Paris during the booking, for Versailles or Fontainebleau for instance, adds a supplement shown in the quote. The hourly hire page gives an instant price for your own dates.

Champagne€1,000
Loire Valley€1,200

These are package prices for the car and the driver, not a count of kilometres. The S-Class and the V-Class versions appear in the quote.

The only surcharges, and when they apply

  • Night: +10% for a pickup between 9 pm and 6 am.
  • Public holidays: +10%.
  • Paris Fashion Week, womenswear: +30% from 28 September to 6 October 2026 and from 1 to 9 March 2027. Our Fashion Week pricing article explains why.
  • Paris Air Show and the Roland-Garros finals: +15% from 14 to 20 June 2027 and from 31 May to 6 June 2027.

There is no seasonal surcharge: a transfer in August costs the same as one in November. Whatever applies to your date is included in the quote before you pay.

Private driver or taxi from the airport

From the airports, a Paris taxi is cheaper. Since 1 February 2026 the regulated taxi flat fares are €56 between CDG and the Right Bank and €65 to the Left Bank, €45 between Orly and the Right Bank and €36 to the Left Bank. A Paris taxi may add €4 when booked for immediate pickup or €7 when booked in advance, and €5.50 from a fifth passenger. Against €125 for a private driver from CDG, the difference pays for a driver waiting in the arrivals hall with your name, flight tracking and up to 60 minutes of waiting from the actual landing time. Our CDG taxi fares guide covers the rank itself, and the CDG to Paris cost comparison sets every option side by side.

Ride-hailing apps such as Uber apply dynamic pricing when demand rises, so the fare depends on the moment you order. The cheapest option remains the train: the Paris Région <> Aéroports ticket costs €14 at full fare in 2026, according to Île-de-France Mobilités.

In French law, a pre-booked private hire car is a VTC (voiture de transport avec chauffeur): it cannot be hailed in the street, and the price is agreed before the ride.

Two questions clients ask before booking

What if my flight lands late?

The fare does not change. The driver follows the flight, and the 60 minutes of waiting included start from the actual landing time. Once they are used, extra waiting is billed at the hourly rate, €21.25 per 15 minutes in an E-Class, as set out in our service policy.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes. Cancel more than 48 hours before pickup and you are refunded in full; between 48 and 24 hours, 50% is refunded; within 24 hours, the booking is not refundable.
